About the pool project in Costa de la Calma

This pool had broken into two parts due to massive cracks and was leaking completely - a result of poor construction work with insufficient reinforcement. In a comprehensive renovation, the statics were restored, the crack permanently closed and the pool completely rebuilt.

Working at the pool:

  • All old tiles removed
  • Old nozzles, floor drain and light pots removed
  • Large areas of cracks exposed (up to 50-100 cm wide and approx. 10 cm deep)
  • Cross connections made: drilled deep from right to left, epoxy applied and stainless steel U-connectors inserted every 10-15 cm
  • Crack areas filled with concrete and additionally sealed with Schlüter system (1 m wide)
  • New nozzles, floor drain and two light pots installed and set in concrete
  • Basin completely sanded down to the concrete layer
  • Glass fiber fabric integrated for crack bridging
  • Triple sealing with Implerflex WEBER throughout the entire pool
  • New mosaic tiles laid in light green, white mosaic tiles on the stairs for better visibility
  • Grouting with Kreakoll Escuba
  • New lamps installed

Work on the terrace:

  • Surface sanded, preparation for the customer for oiling (carried out by the customer)
