About the pool project in Can Picafort

In this project, the initial focus was on detecting leaks - the cause was in the skimmer pipes. After completely replacing the pipes and the skimmer, the pool was extensively renovated, resealed and fitted with a modern mosaic and a staircase and bench solution.

Working at the pool:

• Pool checked for leaks, leaks detected on the skimmer lines
• Natural stone cover removed - pipe path from the skimmer to the technical room completely opened
• Concrete opened in the area of the skimmer (approx. 70 cm)
• Old pipes removed and two new skimmers with new pipes installed up to the plant room
• All old tiles removed
• Openings made in the area of the nozzles, floor drains and light pots
• New staircase and bench concreted and integrated
• New nozzles, new floor drain and light pots installed and set in concrete
• Basin ground down to the concrete
• Glass fiber fabric applied to bridge cracks
• Waterproofing with Mapelastic Smart in three layers
• Tiling with new mosaic tiles, stairs and bench designed with white mosaic tiles for better visibility
• Grouting with epoxy grouting material, polished to finish
• New lighting installed
